Walk and talk therapy is just as it sounds! You and your therapist will pick a location to meet near our office and walk for the duration of your session. It is a great alternative for clients who struggle to feel comfortable sitting face to face with a therapist.
The goal of EMDR is to fully process past experiences and sort out the emotions attached to those experiences. Replacing negative with positive encourages healthier behavior and social interactions that ultimately lead to self efficacy. We find this intervention effective in treating a wide range of mental health symptoms including: anxiety, depression, chronic pain and grief and loss. We also offer a subset of EMDR and Brainspotting.
This includes classic CBT, but we also pull from other variations such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. For OCD, we use Exposure and Prevention Therapy.
Our therapists utilize parts work in order to help you understand different "parts" our yourself. It's an excellent way to help you build compassion for yourself and create real and lasting change.
Mental health issues affect more than just our individual lives – they can impact our families, partners, and loved ones. We’ll find solutions and strategies as an unbiased third party to get the skills and tools you all need to thrive. We use a Gottman based approach for couples and families.

“In addition to individual therapy, I'm in a weekly group. I've created wonderful friendships here. It's also functioned as a safe space for me to experiment with things like stating my needs, getting vulnerable, setting boundaries, and receiving feedback from a non-therapist. Therapy for Women has saved my life and then stuck with me to help me rebuild it from the bottom up.”
